Good morning Gardendale Families,

Following a recent Safety Audit by the Edgewood ISD Police Department, we have received recommendations to further strengthen the safety measures on our campus. We will continue to use the Raptor System for checking IDs and issuing visitor badges, as we have done throughout this year. In addition, we kindly ask that all visitor IDs be left at the Main Office during your visit. This helps us ensure that we are aware of all adults present on campus. Before leaving, visitors may return their badges and retrieve their IDs at the Main Office.

As an additional safety precaution, families arriving after the 7:30 a.m. tardy bell are asked to wait outside the Main Doors and check in their child using the iPad station, assisted by a staff member. Our Main Office staff will be available to escort your child to their classroom.

Después de una reciente Auditoría de Seguridad realizada por el Departamento de Policía de Edgewood ISD, hemos recibido recomendaciones para fortalecer aún más las medidas de seguridad en nuestro plantel. Continuaremos utilizando el sistema Raptor para verificar identificaciones y emitir gafetes de visitante, como lo hemos hecho durante este año. Además, les pedimos amablemente que dejen su identificación en la Oficina Principal durante su visita. Esto nos ayuda a asegurar que sepamos qué adultos se encuentran en la escuela. Antes de salir, los visitantes pueden devolver su gafete y recoger su identificación en la Oficina Principal.

Como precaución adicional, las familias que lleguen después de la campana de tardanza a las 7:30 a.m. deberán esperar afuera de las Puertas Principales y registrar a su hijo(a) usando la tableta iPad, con la asistencia de un miembro del personal. Nuestro personal de la Oficina Principal estará disponible para acompañar a su hijo(a) a su salón de clases.
